There is an invitation sent out to be marked. The Lord sends an invitation to be marked by His presence. The world sends an invitation to be marked by knowledge or ‘truth’. The enemy sends an invitation with chains attached. We accept one of the three. We come away from any time spent – marked.
Time spent studying a certain subject, time watching a movie or the news, time in the word or worship, time sleeping, time engaging in conversations about any subject, time exercising or doing something we love or hate, and time spent magnifying Jesus. It all leaves a mark.
I saw a giant mark of His character, His ways and His heart being imprinted on people. Like a thumb print of identity.
The Lord is marking those who hold nothing back, who long for nothing else but Him. Those that usher in His presence. Those desperate for the One their soul loves. Those bound to their Saviour.
He wants a people who are watchful for Him, and where He is moving. Who trust. Who wait. Who discern counterfeit markings and stand guard.
It’s so evident when we’ve met Jesus and been marked by who He is. You come away marked!
May it be His mark we are known for; recalibrating all parts of us to look like Him; revealing to all around us our stance, stability, opinions, identity, values, what we worship and what we bow to.
Delight yourself with what He delights in. And choose well.
